- Companytycho//works, established as a startup in August 2022 in Berlin, Germany, operates as a "UG" (Unternehmergesellschaft), a legal entity akin to a limited liability company. This structure offers a framework similar to that of a traditional limited liability company, providing a solid foundation for the company's innovative ventures.
- Industry BackgroundThe company was founded by Dirk Lutzebäck, who currently serves as the Managing Director and the core software developer. With a rich history in the SaaS construction industry, Dirk is notably one of the co-founders of Thinkproject. His tenure of nearly 20 years as the CTO at Thinkproject involved him as a leader of the development of the Thinkproject Common Data Environment (TP CDE), a leading construction SaaS application, until his departure before establishing our company.
- Name originThe company's name draws inspiration from Tycho Station, a massively constructed automated space station featured in the science fiction novels by James S.A. Corey. This name, Tycho Station, itself pays homage to Tycho Brahe, the renowned Danish astronomer who lived from 1546 to 1601, blending historical significance with futuristic vision.
